The techniques we use to craft our products have been passed down from generation to generation. Although we can’t reveal all of our secrets, here’s an insight into the journey each piece of our furniture takes.

After selecting the finest quality wood, it is fixed together to make the basic structure of the piece. We then cut the wood to shape before using a variety of carving tools, including a carving knife to smooth the wood and a chisel which helps us to create straight lines and edges. Next we carve in the beautiful detailing using special tools such as the v-tool which makes fine lines and decorative cuts. This hand-carving can take several days to complete on the more intricate designs. The piece is then sealed with oil and finished by hand.
